For those of you in the Berlin area: I'll be participating in a group show at Neurotitan with some talented fellow dutchmen (and ladies) from April 12th till April 26th, *just* before Pictoplasma is unleashed over the city (and at the same gallery btw).
Facebook lovers can find the event here:
Mediums of the Modern City will showcase work by Michel Andrade, Daan Botlek, Eveline van de Griend, Alejandra Huerta and yours truly, so if you've got nothing to do on Saturday 12th (I know, that's unlikely in a city like Berlin), drop by at Neurotitan or swing your booty with us later when the downstairs bar Eschschloraque celebrates their 19th anniversary.
For the show I've tried to pool on my experiences and views on the city and my time there, mixed with the media fueled game-like experiences of social life, most notably the ones in the gay subculture. At the same time, the pieces could work like concept screens for a point-and-click adventure game, so who knows what the follow-up on this will be? I'm very excited to be showing this in any case.
For now, here are two little sneakpeeks…
